Who Am I?
Let’s start with the basics - I’m Shauna, wife to Sean and mum to our beautiful boys. I am in my 30’s, though I still think I’m 21 at times. We live in Lurgan, in our little house that we love to call home. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me curled up on the couch with some Diet Coke and a bar of Galaxy getting cuddles off my boys.
You & Me Photography was started in 2017 after I studied Photography for 2 years in SRC. Photography was always a passion of mine, one I just didn’t make the time to pursue with being a mum, working full time and life in general got in the way. It wasn’t until my 30th birthday that my husband surprised me (and what a surprise might I add) with my first 'proper' camera and told me no more excuses. He was right. It was now or never. So I bit the bullet and enrolled in a course and have never looked back.
I love to laugh and I even have the laughter lines to prove it. I am always up for a laugh and I do my best to help make others laugh. That’s why I love photography so much. It allows me see you laughing with your partner/family. I get to see your laughter unfold on your photoshoot and then afterwards again when I see your images. I’m so lucky that I get to relive those moments over and over again and give you the visual memories you want. Though, it’s not always about just taking photos, it’s about the people we meet and the experiences we all have when we’re together.
I know and understand how important photography is, whether it is photos of your wedding day or photos of your kids, they are captured moments that later become precious memories. Every couples, wedding and family shoot are little reminders of happy days in your lives and time spent with your family and friends. As a photographer, it's a privilege to be asked to be your 'story catcher'.
