Documenting these strange times...
For weeks we've been at home adapting to our new way of life. I have been taking many pictures of my kids, to help remind us what life in lockdown has been like. But then I thought, why not take pictures of people in my local area and let them have some reminders too. I saw some other photographers do this and thought it was a brilliant idea, so why not give it a go myself.
The response was crazy. It's something the whole community got involved in, from newborn twins, Lilly and Oscar, to Sarah who is 94, I was very fortunate to meet so many lovely people. Over the past few weeks I have met and photographed 120 families and couples, how cool is that!
Through doing this, we all raised money for SANDS NI and Little Forget Me Nots Trust, two charities that are really close to my heart. People were free to make a donation if they could. An outstanding £1700 was raised, an amount I never even thought was possible. But the generosity that people showed was simply amazing. The words 'Thank You' will never be enough.
(People's safety was paramount during these pictures being taken, strict social distancing was adhered to at all times)
